DCRR will again be organising bus transport for the Brisbane to Gold Coast Ride as well as a post ride function.
Given the complexities of getting bikes onboard the buses and the growing numbers, we have this year hired a bus for the people and a truck for the bikes. This allows us to offer a bus to the start of the 60km event also. Please notify Kelli if you are doing this shorter ride.
We are also booking a marquee at the finish line. Catering is available, and can be booked at checkout. For more info on the lunch pack, please see below.
Because both the bus and truck are booked for the full day, and because we expect the marquee to be the meeting place at the end of the ride, the bus to Southbank/Beenleigh and the return bus fare and the marquee entrace fee is included in the one charge. You may choose to make your own way home, however the price will be the same as if you were also making the return journey.
The Club will be subsidizing the marquee hire and bus fare, and spaces for the bus are limited to 60. Placement is first in best dressed.
Arrive at 4:30am for a 5am sharp departure.
This bus may not be the same bus bringing us back, so please don't leave items on the bus. For those taking the bus back home after the ride, backpacks etc can be put in the Shop Van for transport to the end of the ride.
Please note, if you are a current and financial member of DCRR you will save $10 on the cost of this booking. Please use the same email address as was listed on your membership form and select the member (cheaper) option to register. The system will acknoweldge your membership allowing you to move through.
If you are not a financial member of DCRR, please consider joining. Volunteers give their time to arrange services like this bus for members and the Club also subsidizes from its funds activities like this. Please support the Club that supports you and join. (You can do it online now - It's just $80 for 12 months and includes insurance!)
LUNCH OPTION:
A catering company is responsible for providing lunch in the Marquees. These are pre-booked and ordered to your preferences and ready at the marquee when you finish the ride.
While no other caterers are allowed to service the marquee, you can bring your own lunch, or purchase food from the vendor stalls at the finish line. You are not obliged to purchase this lunch pack.
